We understand that making the decision to rehome your dog can be extremely difficult. Circumstances change, and sometimes finding a new home is the most responsible decision for both the dog and their family.

At SalliPets Dog Rescue, our priority is to find safe, loving and suitable homes where dogs can thrive.

A Home-Based Rescue

SalliPets does not have kennels.

Dogs that come into our care live in a home environment, where they receive individual attention and continue to experience normal family life while waiting for their new home.

Living with our rescue dogs also helps us get to know their personalities, routines and individual needs, which is invaluable when deciding what type of home will suit them.

Can SalliPets Take My Dog?

Because our dogs live together in a home environment, we can only accept dogs that can safely live with other dogs and children.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept a dog that cannot safely live with:

✓ Children

Please tell us honestly about any behavioural or medical issues. Full information helps us determine whether we can safely help your dog and, if we can, what type of new home they need.

How Rehoming With SalliPets Works

1. Tell us about your dog
We will need information about your dog's age, breed, health, temperament, behaviour and daily routine, as well as their experience with children, dogs, cats and other animals.

2. We discuss whether we can help
We consider your dog's individual circumstances and whether our home-based environment is suitable for them.

3. We get to know your dog
When a dog comes into our care, living with them allows us to understand their personality and needs beyond what can be learned from a short assessment.

4. We search for the right home
We consider prospective adopters carefully. Our priority is finding a suitable match rather than simply finding the quickest available home.

5. We support the adoption
When we believe we have found the right family, we manage the introduction and adoption process with the dog's welfare at the centre of the decision.
